Collect a Debt vs Other Collection Approaches

Small Claims Court

You'll spend more money and time taking them to small claims court than you will using our service.  At first you'll be all excited because you obtained a judgment but then you'll realize you then need to cure that judgment so you'll be calling us to collect the judgment.  You'll be wasting money and time and end up using us anyway in the end.

Hire Typical Agency

Our Fixed Fee Per Account Programs are typically less than 10% where other collection agency's charge much higher fees.  Their fees are so high that you'll actually be forfeiting your profit margin to them.  They will skim through your accounts working only your current, easy to locate larger balance debts giving you poor results.  They are known to alienate and offend your customer base giving them reason to post poor reviews and badmouth you to the community.

Collect In-House

Our fees are lower than what it will cost you to work the accounts yourself as you will incur the costs of paper, envelopes, postage, hiring, training, hourly wages, etc.  Remember, no matter how hard you try they won't pay you because they know you can do nothing to them.  You don't have the leverage that we have because you cannot affect credit.  Even worse as you increase your internal collection efforts you will alienate your own customer base.

Hire An Attorney

You'll spend a lot more money hiring an attorney who is not even in the business of collecting money and that is why there are so many collection agencies out there.  Attorneys are very expensive and for a high price they may send out one letter on your behalf which will do nothing. They have no leverage because they don't report bad debt to the credit bureaus.  Interesting, we've been known at times to collect money for attorneys.

Garnish Wages

Wage Garnishment has never been successful on delinquent accounts due to the fact that the people who owe money are not employed in strong solid positions so when you go through the long expensive process of achieving Wage Garnishment, the debtor simply moves on to another job off the radar.  So in conclusion, it's a waste of your time and money.

Write Off Accounts

With Collect a Debt it's all collectable money so never write off your accounts, and doing nothing is never the answer because you deserve to be paid for your hard work.  In addition you need to remember that when you allow people to use your service and get away without paying, they tell all their friends "You can go over and use their service for Free.  I got away with it. I used their service without ever having to pay."  Remember, Bad Debt incurs Bad Debt!
